Opposition to Cummins: A major labor group wants the Senate Commerce Committee to reject the nomination of David Cummins to lead the TSA at a meeting scheduled for today, citing his opposition to the current collective bargaining agreement and support for privatizing screening services at some airports, Zach reports.
“We urge the administration to nominate a Transportation Security Administrator who values workers’ rights and protects the integrity of the TSA,” said Greg Regan and Shari Semelsberger, president and secretary-treasurer of the AFL-CIO affiliated Transportation Trades Department.
