Barbara Ehimika is TTD’s Legislative Representative. She oversees TTD’s on freight rail, budget/appropriations, and over the road legislative portfolio.
Prior to joining TTD, Barbara worked at the American Petroleum Institute as a Federal Relations Manager focusing on energy and environment regulatory issues facing the industry. She also worked in the office of Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA) as a Special Assistant, working on variety of legislative issues and special projects from 2007 to 2009.
In 2006, Barbara received her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from LeMoyne College in Syracuse, NY. Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, Barbara is happy to have left the cold Northeast weather behind.
As TTD’s Staff Assistant, Samantha Fazenbaker assists TTD’s President, Larry Willis, and Secretary-Treasurer, Greg Regan. She maintains TTD’s legislative calendar and assists with TTD’s PAC.
Prior to joining TTD, Samantha worked for the University of Texas System Office of Federal Relations and interned with Congresswoman Susan Davis (D-CA).
Samantha holds a B.S. in Political Science and a Master's in Political Science with a concentration in Applied American Politics and Policy from Florida State University. She is originally from Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Jonna Huseman is TTD’s Writer and Communications Director. She manages TTD’s communications and social media channels; writes press releases, blogs, and other materials; and maintains TTD’s website.
Jonna comes from a proud union family and has spent more than six years working for the labor movement. She holds Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Wayne State College and is the author of a recently published children’s history book about a famous union strike. She is originally from Nebraska and currently lives in Silver Spring, Maryland.
As TTD’s Administrative Assistant, Brooke supports the TTD staff with the daily administrative and clerical duties of the office. Brooke handles much of TTD’s document preparation and databases. She has worked at TTD since 1999.
Originally from Oregon, Brooke attended the University of Oregon.
Cole Scandaglia is TTD’s Legislative and Policy Analyst. He oversees TTD’s legislative efforts on maritime, longshore, and transportation security issues. He also manages TTD's regulatory portfolio, filing federal regulatory comments on behalf of our 32 affiliated unions across all modes of transportation.
Prior to joining TTD, Cole was a fellow at the City of Chicago Federal Affairs Office, where he assisted with the coordination of federal grant applications and provided legislative research.
Cole is originally from Chicago and holds a B.A. in Political Science and a Masters of Public Policy from American University.
As TTD’s Administrator, Shari Semelsberger assists the Secretary-Treasurer in the day-to-day financial operations of the organization, managing TTD’s accounts, budget, and human resources. She also plans TTD’s two annual Executive Committee meetings. She has worked with TTD since 1999.
Shari holds a Bachelor of Arts in union administration from the National Labor College. Her interest in the labor movement stems from a long history of family involvement in unions going back all the way to her great-grandfather.
